The premise

Three plans, three massacres — the Demon Lord answers every order before the trumpets sound, so someone in the chain of command is selling them. The army's Reckoner, the hard-eyed spy-catcher who reads couriers and ciphers the old mundane way, swore she'd name the mole at tonight's war council. She's found in the command tent with her own dagger driven through the battle-map. In magic-dead Forward Camp Greymarch — where skills gutter, status windows flicker to static, and no one can be Appraised — the assault on the Black Keep launches at dawn regardless. The recalled veterans have one watch-fire's worth of night to hunt both the leak and the killer who silenced the only person who'd cornered them, and pray they're the same.
