The premise

Three months into the Reckoning, an enclave of strangers survives inside a ward-dome kept aloft by one Anchor-Master's territory Class, the only thing between them and the monsters outside. The night before a forecast dawn Surge, he is found dead in the Anchor Room, raked by breach-beast claws, yet the dome never flickers. Someone already wears a dead man's power, and lockdown means no one leaves before the beasts come. A LitRPG fantasy murder mystery for 10 to 12 players plus a Game Master, played in one evening: trade secrets and unmask who now wears the Anchor-Master's Class before dawn.

The cast

Aleksy Kovac

Aleksy Kovac

Victim NPC

The enclave's Anchor-Master — not its strongest fighter but its essential bureaucrat, whose bonded Class [Keystone of the Hold] generates the ward-dome. Ran rations, rostered salvage runs, and arbitrated disputes with…

Soren Dahl

Soren Dahl

Suspect

The wall's celebrated hero — 'the man who held Sector 3 alone.' Loud, magnetic, adored by the enclave, and first to volunteer for the dawn Surge. Carries himself like the natural leader now that Kovac is gone.

Desmond Vael

Desmond Vael

Suspect

The enclave's one outside-contact, a smooth trade-runner who deals with the richer holds and brings back what Bastion 7 can't make. Charming, well-fed, always calculating the exchange rate.

Imani Adeyemi

Imani Adeyemi

Suspect

A scarred frontline Bearer, veteran of the last disastrous sortie, quiet and grim. Once one of the wall's sharpest blades; lately slower, holding back, harder to read.

Jonah Pike

Jonah Pike

Suspect

A System-blessed prodigy handed a rare Class, young, magnetic, and hungry. Visibly, unmistakably stronger this morning than he was last night — the whole enclave has noticed the spike, and so has he.

Priya Sandoval

Priya Sandoval

Suspect

A fierce civilian guardian sheltering a young boy, Tam. Keeps to herself, evasive about where she's from and where she's been, quick to put herself between the child and everyone else.

Cormac Lowe

Cormac Lowe

Suspect

A jittery gate-watchman, twitchy and defensive, widely muttered about as the man who abandoned a watch once before and let a beast slip in. No one quite trusts a word he says.

Sloane Whitaker

Sloane Whitaker

Suspect

The enclave's salvage-runner, hard-edged and blunt, recently cut out of her salvage rights by Kovac after one off-grid run too many. She's the one who hauls breach-beast parts in from the Rupture to trade.

Pell Carrow

Pell Carrow

Suspect

A discounted porter — human furniture. Worked to the bone on the worst Rupture runs, last in line for food, written off as dead weight. His joke Class is [Beast of Burden]: he carries other people's loads. Nobody…

Elara Voss

Elara Voss

Detective

A travelling System Adjudicator with an Appraiser's [Status Reader] Class, present at Bastion 7 by chance and drafted to arbitrate the tribunal. Cool, methodical, immune to the enclave's politics. She narrates status…

Bevin Okafor

Bevin Okafor

Witness

A steady turret-gunner on the wall crew, proud of the line and of a night the wall held. Reliable, literal-minded, quick to defend his crew's honor. When nervous he recites his watch-hours like a liturgy, correcting…

Tam

Tam

Character NPC

A young boy Priya shelters and hides, rarely seen, kept as far from the Rupture as the dome reaches. The reason Priya does everything she does.
